Opera (browser) is free web browsing software (web browser) maintained and developed by Opera Software. This browser appeared back in 1994, and is currently one of the most popular browsers in the world, although its share in the browser market (2%) is much lower compared to the leaders. Opera is also popular in Russia and its share is even slightly higher than the world average of about 3.5%.


The Opera browser is implemented under such operating systems as: Windows, Linux and macOS. There are also versions for mobile devices based on such popular systems as: Android and iOS.


Opera supports many languages, including Russian, has a simple and fairly user-friendly interface.

Opera system requirements

The Opera browser supports the following versions of operating systems:


Windows 7 or higher;

OS X Yosemite 10.10 or higher;

Ubuntu 16.04 64-bit or higher;

Opera can also be installed on other Linux distributions such as openSUSE, Fedora and others.
