WampServer 3 web server build overview

Note! It is not recommended to use a web server collection as a platform for hosting sites both on the Internet and in corporate networks, i.e. they are created for local development and testing only. This is a recommendation from the developers of any web server build. WampServer is a free build of a web server, i.e. platform for web development under the Windows operating system. This assembly includes all the necessary software for creating dynamic web applications (sites), namely: Apache web server, PHP programming language, MySQL DBMS and other auxiliary software, such as phpMyAdmin. For those who don't know WAMP is an acronym for "Windows, Apache, MySQL and PHP" i.e. a word consisting of the first letters of the listed applications. There is also LAMP, where L is Linux, and MAMP, where M is Mac OS. WampServer is available for both 32 bit and 64 bit Windows.  Properly selected lighting will help you transform any room and create a cozy atmosphere in it. We will talk about the secrets of lighting design, as well as how to make lighting with your own hands, in this article.

Types of lighting
Lighting in a room can be divided into three types:

General (background) lighting

Working (directional) lighting

decorative lighting

Ambient lighting refers to ceiling lights that evenly illuminate the entire room. If we are talking about background lighting, then it is important to remember that ceiling lights should not cast shadows and glare.

Work lighting includes all light sources that give a directional beam of light: table lamps, floor lamps, spotlights, etc. Work lighting should be brighter than the background, but within the optimal brightness for the eyes. Where the work area will be located depends on the type of room, your preferences and lifestyle. In the office, it can be a desktop or a reading chair, in the kitchen - a dining table.

After you have planned your background and task lighting, you need to think about what kind of atmosphere you want to create in the room. This is where decorative lighting (LED lights, etc.) comes in handy. Here it is important to choose a spectrum that will most successfully emphasize the interior. To learn how to make LED lighting with your own hands, read the corresponding article.

Lighting Rules
Below we have compiled some useful tips for you that will come in handy when planning the lighting of a room.

The most important design rule is that bright light will visually expand the room, and subdued light, on the contrary, will reduce it. If you want to make a large room visually more compact, then darken the ceiling and use spotlights.

Visually “raise” low ceilings will help lamps with reflectors pointing upwards. If the ceilings, on the contrary, need to be lowered, then darken it and turn on the lampshades with directional light down.

Advice! Another little trick is to light up the wall behind the TV or computer screen. This will reduce eye strain.

Lighting in the apartment
